Teresa Allman (the lady who made the magnificent Poppy Quilt) had created a baby quilt for new Owen.

Teresa is donating her lovely work(wo)manship by allowing the 56 Family Support Group to present one of her quilts to soldiers' families who have new arrivals.

Thanks so much Teresa. You are one special lady!

D Day Remembered

June 6th.....1944 On this day 70 years ago, Canadian Gunners were part of over 14,000 Canadians who participated in the D Day Landings. The Royal Canadian Navy contributed 110 ships and 10,000 sailors in support of the landings while the R.C.A.F helped prepare the invasion by bombing targets inland. On D-Day and during the ensuing campaign 15 R.C.A.F. Fighter and fighter bomber squadrons helped control the skies over Normandy and attacked enermy targets. On that day , Canadian suffered 1074 casualties including 359 KIA. We shall remember them. www.warmuseum.ca
